As I mentioned in a previous post, experiments are a central part of Spirit Communication Technologies’ work. However, at the time of writing no experiments have been conducted, and neither are they intended to commence in the near future. This probably sounds surprising, but there is a good reason, and I hope that by the end of this post you will realise that nothing has gone wrong.
In order to proceed in a loving manner, there are three constraints to bear in mind, which are explained below.
Constraint 1: Experimentation is unpredictable
This constraint is imposed by the very nature of what we are trying to do. The science behind spirit communication will not be known beforehand, and nothing can take the place of experiments when it comes to discovering it. Experiments are by their nature unpredictable: if we knew beforehand what would happen, they wouldn’t be experiments.
Constraint 2: No secrecy
Unlike some companies that operate in “stealth” or have “trade secrets”, Spirit Communication Technologies will not hide anything. Indeed, it is part of the company’s aims to share insights and advances freely.
Constraint 3: No detriment to humanity
Some technological advances can be beneficial to humanity, while others can be detrimental. When it comes to a subject as significant as communicating with spirits, the benefits and detriments are correspondingly immense. Whether advances in communicating with spirits are beneficial or detrimental depends on the nature of these advances, and by extension the nature of the research that produced them. For this reason, Spirit Communication Technologies will not conduct research unless it is certain that the research will not be detrimental.
Approach
When the constraints listed above, and the interactions between them, are properly understood, the already difficult task of creating a spirit communication device becomes far more difficult still – some might say impossible. I do not feel it is impossible.
These constraints can be worked within, provided the experimenter has certain qualities. One of these qualities is a high degree of wisdom, but there are also others. I, Matei Mandache, do not currently possess these qualities. While it may sound plausible that a spirit who does possess these qualities (and there are such spirits) can be consulted (either through a basic device or more traditional forms of mediumship), that will not suffice. The experimenter himself (or herself) must possess these qualities, and they cannot be outsourced.
So the main work for me is to develop these qualities within myself. I feel confident that I will get there, although it may take some time.
So, as I said at the beginning, no experiments have been conducted, nor will they start to be conducted until I have developed the necessary qualities to conduct them in a loving manner. Although this effectively defers most of the work of Spirit Communication Technologies, it does not defer everything. In a future blog post I hope to share information about what the company has been doing, and is currently working on.
In this blog post, I will explain my vision for what the company could achieve, together with the plan to get there.
Initial phase: Experiment and Experiment!
While I acknowledge that I am not the first person to be interested in using devices to communicate with spirits (see for example this website and this website), I feel that the current understanding on earth of how it works is very limited. If we want to get good communications, we need to have a much deeper understanding of what is involved. This is a scientific pursuit. Experiments are a crucial part of this as it is only really by trying things out that you can know what works and doesn’t work. My feeling is that I want to conduct a very large number of experiments, as there are many factors that affect whether communication happens or not and there is a lot to learn.
Milestone one: First contact
The first big milestone in this endeavour would be to receive a message from a spirit through some sort of device. Of course, this would be a great boost to confidence in this endeavour, but it also has other benefits. In particular the spirit may be able to share advice or information about making communication devices. There is a lot more knowledge about this kind of communication in the spirit world than there is on earth.
Afterwards, a main focus will be on understanding the technicalities involved in the communication. Once there is communication, there will be a great feedback system as I’ll be able to see what factors make the communication better (e.g. clearer and of longer duration) or worse.
Milestone two: Digital Contact
As you may be aware, information can be transmitted in two kinds of format: analogue and digital. Loosely speaking, analogue means there is a continuous range of possible output, whereas digital means only a fixed collection of values are allowed (like computers that run on 1s and 0s). I expect that the first contact I receive will be analogue. After all, most things in nature, such as sound waves, are analogue, while digital is mostly used for codes that need some sort of mechanism to be understood.
So why do I want to make digital contact? There are several reasons, such as the fact that it allows for error correction to improve the quality of the communication, and allows for integration with modern technology. Digital would mean communication could be received to a computer, and any file format people on earth have come up with is a possibility for what spirits can share with us (provided the spirits are willing to take the trouble to learn how that file format works). But perhaps the biggest advantage of this milestone is what could happen next.
Milestone three: High-Bandwidth Digital
One drawback with some of the existing setups for communicating with spirits, and also with traditional forms of mediumship, is that there is a limit to how much information can be shared from the spirit world per second (known as bandwidth). Typically such methods are constrained in the sense that if the information takes five minutes to say, it takes five minutes to transmit. I feel spirits would like to share vast amounts of information, and it would be a great benefit if this constraint could be removed.
If a digital device works well, the rate at which it operates could be increased, potentially to billions of bits of information per second, which is the speed at which modern laptops operate. While more traditional methods of communicating with spirits would allow a medium to write and publish say ten books of information channelled from spirits over the course of the medium’s time on earth, a high bandwidth digital communication device could allow the transmission of upwards of 10,000 books. These could then be made available as ebooks, free to download, or published and printed like traditional books as this can be a better reading experience.

When I started telling people that I would set up a company one of whose aims is to communicate with spirits, one of my friends asked me a question that took me slightly by surprise: “Why do you need to communicate with them?” At that point I already had strong feelings that communicating with spirits would bring enormous benefits, whereas to my friend it was unclear whether such communication would be of any use at all. I don’t know if you, my reader, have similar feelings to myself, or to my friend, or somewhere in between, but I thought it would be beneficial to write a blog post spelling out some of the benefits communication with spirits could bring.
Of course, for anyone who has lost a loved one, there is one benefit that needs no explanation: renewing that relationship. Indeed this is what motivates many people to take an interest in spiritualism or go to mediums. But in addition to this there are many other benefits, some perhaps less obvious, such that I hope the list below will prove interesting even to people who are already keen on spirit communication.
We can find out what the spirit world is like
Finding out about the spirit world, how it is organised, and what life is like for those that live there is in itself a fascinating subject. Mediums have already channelled many books on this subject, one of my personal favourites being Through the Mists. But learning about this subject goes beyond a mere satisfaction of curiosity, it has important implications for our life. To take an important example, one soon learns that there are a wide variety of places in the spirit world, ranging from places of great joy to others of darkness and all unpleasantness, and it is a person’s degree of morality that determines where they will go. On the other hand, material wealth is of no use to us in the afterlife: we leave that behind us as we leave the earth. If this were truly understood, it would cause a great change in how life is conducted here on earth. We would realise that greed is vain, while an “investment in morality” is always a sound decision.
Knowing about the spirit world is also extremely useful when our time comes to go there ourselves. For instance, we would know that the concept of eternal damnation is false: wherever we are when we first enter the spirit world, we will always have the capacity to progress and enter new and brighter locations. What a world of despair this could save us from! There are also many spirits who don’t know that there is a separate spirit world to be enjoyed, and so they simply hang around the earth in their spirit bodies, leading a dull existence, and often not even aware that they have passed. Again, there is much sorrow that can be avoided through a knowledge of what awaits us.
Spirits can teach us Spiritual Truths
Here I should clarify that I am using the term “Spiritual” to mean things that are to do with love (rather than things to do with spirits). Love is perhaps the most important subject we can learn about, as if we learn to love one another, most if not all of our problems on earth would be solved. There are spirits in the spirit world who have progressed in love to a great extent, and know far more about love than we do on earth (after all, many of them have had thousands of years in which to learn). Spirit Communication Technologies hopes to receive messages from such spirits.
Having learned a few spiritual truths myself, I would like to say that the process is not an arduous one of pressured study, taxing our brain, with a backdrop of fear lest we make a mistake. On the contrary, it is a beautiful and open-hearted process, which engages our emotions and makes us feel alive. Rather than complication and confusion, we are left with wonder and awe. We may have blocks to engaging the process in this way, but those would be due to our previous bad experiences when learning things, rather than any shortcoming in the truth itself. The blocks can be removed, and then we will be left with joy.
Spirits can share Personal Truths with us
An important part of life is self-awareness, yet it is often very hard for us to see ourselves as we truly are without some help. Spirits (especially those who have progressed in love) may be of great service to us here, as they can accurately see what is going on in our lives, and tell us what they see. This can be painful at first, as our cherished ideas and inflated self-image get shattered, but in the long run we have the potential to benefit greatly from these insights. After all, nothing can be truly changed until it is faced.
I have had an experience receiving personal truths, so know something of what it is like to hear them, feel devastated, pick myself up, revisit the truths, understand them, and ultimately make changes based on them. I am now very glad to have received the personal truths. In my case it required a trip to Australia (I am based in the UK) and meeting Jesus and Mary for this to happen, but if Spirit Communication Technologies is successful high-quality personal feedback will be much more easily available.
Spirits can share Scientific Truths with us
There are many scientific truths that scientists on earth are not yet aware of, but scientists in the spirit world are. If a suitable channel of communication is created, these scientific truths have the potential to be transmitted to earth, which could greatly benefit everyone living on earth. To give just one example, there must be new ways of generating energy which we could learn in this way, which do not rely on fossil fuels or produce greenhouse gasses. If these ways are easy to implement, it will result in an abundance of energy and a much better outcome for the climate as well.
One thing to bear in mind is that not all scientific truths known to spirits would be shared with people on earth, given the current state the earth is in (though they may be shared in the future if/when the earth changes). This is because we would use these new technologies for destructive activities such as war. Spirits will not share their wonderful inventions with us only to see us use them to kill each other.
An interesting effect of receiving scientific truths from spirits is that they would be highly convincing in terms of proving that the spirit world is real, once the scientific truths have been put into practice and demonstrated. One of the reasons society has been slow to accept evidence for the afterlife is that typically a medium’s channelled messages are only relevant to the person whose relative is being channelled. Scientific truths, on the other hand, are relevant to everyone, so it will be much harder for society to dismiss a communication when they are receiving a personal benefit from the result.
Conclusion
This is not meant to be an exhaustive list of the benefits of communicating with spirits, but hopefully it has done enough to convince you that communicating with spirits is a valuable pursuit, and deserves plenty of our time, effort and energy.
